Hello friends! Here’s my second take on the Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit and the Mandy’s Flowers stamp set in particular. It is such a gorgeous set, I just want to keep coloring it and keep coloring! And with the latest coloring/swatching trends I want to color it using all of the mediums I have. Maybe I’ll try watercolors next time.

CARD DETAILS
Similar to my previous project, I started making this card by stamping image in Simon’s Intense Black ink onto Neenah 80lb cardstock. Next, I pulled out my Copics and did super quick and simple coloring.
I used the following marker colors to color this beauty:
- Pink: RV09, RV14, RV13, RV11, RV10
- Green: YG67, YG63, YG03
- Blue: B99, B34, B21, B000
- Gray: C1
Again, I cut my image out using scissors. One would think it’s a hard one to cut out, but the truth is – it isn’t. You just need a good pair of scissors.
I stamped “For You” and “Thank You” inside the circle and also added a horizontal line to finish my message in a way. I was going to stamp it going all the way across the circle, but I ended not inking my stamp properly and only stamped it partially. I LOVED the result! It looks as if I masked my image, but really I didn’t.
I covered the front of an A2 white card base with patterned paper from my August kit and foam mounted my colored and cut out image on top. I also stamped a few additional dots next to my flower to finish this card.

So very pretty!!
Very beautiful. I love the background! Is it a stencil? Was it a part of the card kit? I looked at what it listed in the kit & I didn’t see that this was in the kit. I would love to get it whatever it is. Can you tell me where to purchase it? I also wish the SSS would sell the stamps & dies separately a month or so later as MFT. Many of us do not want to join up for kits but love any of the products in them.
Thank you, Bev! The background is just patterned paper from the kit.
That card is really beautiful.
Very pretty card. Thanks for sharing. I love this card kit.
This is LOVELY, Yana!! 😉
Your card came out beautiful. I love it!!
I need to learn how to use copics! This card is beautiful!
Oooh, this is beautiful as well Yana. I am working a lot with my w/c’s recently trying to master some basics but I am also keeping my Copic’s at hand when I want to change off as I am desperately trying to master these as well. You have inspired me today to go back to them for a bit. TFS!
Yana it is great to see you use the SSS kit in lots of different ways, this is a way that all crafters (even if we didn’t manage to get the kit or the resources) can use the same style of design to create our own projects. Thank you for sharing this with us crafters. :O) xxx
