Simon Says Stamp | August Card Kit – Mandy’s Flowers Take One

Hello friends! I hope you are having a great day and are enjoying the last few days of Summer. It’ been extremely hot here lately and thus I’ve been spending more time in my craft corner making cards using Simon’s beautiful Mandy’s Flowers August card kit (and that’s what I love card kits for – you have everything you need in one box to make stunning cards).

I have several cards to share and I’ll be posting them here over the next several days. I’m starting with the Thank You For Everything card you see below.

CARD DETAILS

I started making this card by stamping my floral image in Simon’s Intense Black ink onto Neenah 80lb cardstock. These floral arrangements are so pretty, they don’t really need much more to them to make any card special.

I used my Copic markers (I recently shared a video where I colored one image from this set using my Polychromos) and did simple and quick coloring. I used the following marker colors:

• Pink: RV09, RV14, RV11, RV10
• Green: G94, YG13, YG01
• Blue: B00, B000

There are coordinating dies available for this stamp set (not included in the kit), but I cut my image out using scissors. I do want to get the dies for this stamp set as I know I will be using it a lot. If you don’t want to get coordinating dies – my trick to making fussy cutting easier is to stamp the image on thinner 80lb cardstock.

I used patterned paper from my kit and covered a part of an A2 white card base with it. I stamped “Thank You” in black ink and foam mounted my floral arrangement on top. I also stamped “for everything” onto light pink paper that was included in the kit, cut into skinny strips and foam mounted onto the card.

Lastly, I added several enamel hearts and a few extra stamped dots in black to complete this project.
