I had some time to play in my craft room and I finally stamped a card with Simon Says Stamp Wavy Circles background. This stamp has intrigued me for a long time and I had it sitting on my desk for weeks, waiting for a unique idea.

CARD DETAILS
The easiest way for me to come up with a card design is to start playing. After stamping this background using various colors of ink and various masking approaches I did the most simple thing possible – I used yellow and blue and combined them to create an abstract sea & sky background.
I used my MISTI and stamped the top part of the background in Citrine. Next, I overlapped it with Seafoam slightly creating a hind of green. I continued the blue to the bottom of the background using Surf and Ocean colors. The transition between colors isn’t perfect and I didn’t aim for perfection. I aimed for abstraction. I think it is spot on.
The sentiment I picked for this card is very meaningful, it reads “Dream Higher Than The Sky and Deeper Than The Ocean“. I think it is a beautiful message for so many occasions and especially for how I feel right now with the war outside my window. I dream of peace. Instead of embossing it on the usual black cardstock, I embossed it on Sunshine Yellow. I think this made the card a lot more cheerful.
I stamped seagulls in Versafine Onyx Black using images from Your Light and Seas & Greetings sets to continue the sea theme. Finally, I scattered some silver gems.
