Pretty Pink Posh | Watercolor Geraniums Card. Photo Tutorial

Hello friends! I can’t believe that Summer is almost over! I know it’s so cliché to say, but where did the time go? On the other hand I’m happy to see it end, I’m definitely ready for some cooler temperatures and bright, vibrant Fall colors.

Today I have a simple watercolor Friendship card to share featuring beautiful Geranium Flowers stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh. If you follow PPP on Instagram, you might have already seen this project and a photo tutorial showing how to make it. If not – you’re in luck, I’m sharing it below.

CARD DETAILS

I started making this card by heat embossing images in white embossing powder on watercolor paper. Next, I used my Daniel Smith watercolors (any watercolors or other coloring medium will work for this) and did some quick coloring in pink and green.

Luckily, there are coordinating dies available for these flowers, so I used mine and die-cut all of the images out in my Platinum die cutting machine. Whenever I use watercolor paper I prefer to die-cut images instead of using scissors to cut them out by hand as watercolor paper is usually thicker and that makes it very hard to have a nice clean cut edge.

I also created a sentiment by white heat embossing “Friend” and “You’re The Best” on black paper. Black always adds a lot of contrast, so whenever I’m not sure what color to use I tend to go with black.

I foam mounted my florals on a light gray card panel and also foam mounted my sentiments on top. To embellish this card I used beads in pink and scattered them around the card.
