Hello, friends! Thank you for joining me today to help celebrate the Pretty Pink Posh 6th Birthday anniversary! Pretty Pink Posh is one of my favorite stamp manufacturers – I love the quality of their stamps and dies as well as the unique designs, they are always a pleasure to create with.
Today I have a one layer Valentine’s Day card to share featuring one of the new stamp sets – Large Floral Hearts. By the way, I’ve shared a video tutorial with regular Floral Hearts stamp set HERE, be sure to check it out for more ideas.

CARD DETAILS
I started to work on this card by creating a mask from printer paper – I cut a 2 x 1/5″ rectangle and affixed it on a white 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ panel using repositionable adhesive. This masked a space for the sentiment for this card. It is best to stamp the sentiment later, as if you stamp it before, then mask it, you might not mask it perfectly in the center.
Next, I used the stunning floral heart stamp and stamped it repeatedly creating a pattern overlapping the mask. I used Simon’s Intense Black ink for my stamping as this ink is alcohol ink friendly and I was planning to use my Copic markers to color these images. Next, I removed the mask and stamped a heart as well as the sentiment. With the stamping done I proceeded to color.
I used just 2 blue markers – B97, B34. This gave me beautiful, yet simple coloring. I also used a white Sakura pen to fix any coloring mistakes (I’ve had the marker go outside the line in a few places) and also to add white flower centers and highlights to the hearts.
I used R39, R27, R24, and R22 markers to color the big red heart, I also coated it with Glossy accents for dimension and interest.
Lastly, I embellished the panel using a number of gems from the Midnight set – I love the deep dark blue color of these embellishments. I trimmed the panel down just a smidge and adhered it to the A2 white side folding card base.
I’m looking forward to re-creating this card in red and pink and I hope you’ll give this idea a try as well. Have fun stamping!
