Happy Wednesday, ladies! Neat & Tangled is collaborating with a Blog Named Hero this week and we are playing along with their current challenge – Metallic. Here’s a project I made using N&T goodies and (of course) gold!
I started working on this card by creating a circle background. I used Neat & Tangled Bokeh circles in Soft and Lovely and arranged the largest (there are 3 sizes in a pack) onto a piece of white cardstock which I had previously covered with Stick It adhesive.
I first placed gold, then cream and then white. To trim off the edges of these circles I used Simon’s Stitched Rectangle die and die cut it on my Grand Calibur die cutting machine. I didn’t have enough circles for cover the entire piece and some areas still had a bit of adhesive showing so I decided to add glitter onto those areas (you can spot a bit of white glitter at the bottom). Next I foam mounted my die cut rectangle onto A2 white top folding card base.
For my sentiment I die cut a Hello die out of Gold Mirror Cardstock, I didn’t want the swirly bottom part of Hello on this card, so I cut it and only left the Hello. I also heat embossed You Make Life Sparkle using Crafting is My Jam set and Gold detailed embossing powder.
I embellished my card using few more hearts die cut using Hand Stitched dies and enamel dots.
