My April 2025 Collection with Spelbinders is HERE! Yana’s Daisies – Collection Introduction Video

Hi friends! I’m excited to introduce you to my newest collection with Spellbinders: Yana’s Daisies. If you’ve been following along, you know how much I love flowers – so naturally, a daisy-focused release felt like the perfect addition to my growing collection of floral designs.

This collection is all about the beauty and simplicity of the daisy – a flower that symbolizes innocence, purity, and joy. With its bright white petals and golden center, it’s like a tiny sunbeam, radiating cheer. I’ve always found daisies to be quietly resilient and full of warmth, and I hope this collection captures that same feeling on paper.

WHAT’S INSIDE THE COLLECTION?

Yana’s Daisies is slightly larger than some of my past collections, with 5 (or 7, depending on how you count) products that all work beautifully together—or on their own.

YANA’S DAISY DIE

At the heart of this collection is the daisy die – a large, detailed floral die that’s perfect for A2 and 5×7 cards. It’s the same style of die you’ve seen in my previous floral releases like the Magnolia, Anemone, Peony, Poppy, Amaryllis, and Poinsettia. If you’ve used any of those, you’ll know exactly how to work with this one. And if you’re new—don’t worry! I’ve created a video that walks you through it step-by-step, it is going live tomorrow.

Here’s a peek at a card I made using this die – yellow petals, black centers, and a shimmering gold outline.

MOLDED FRAME 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER

Next is something I’m especially excited about: the Molded Frame embossing folder. This 3D folder was actually inspired by the cabinetry in my kitchen! I loved the molding detail so much, I wanted to recreate it for my cards.

It’s sized for A2 cards and makes the perfect subtle background. While we originally planned a 5×7 version, it didn’t pass our quality testing – so we made the tough decision to scrap it. But I’m thrilled with how this A2 version turned out!

CRAFTY HUGS BETTERPRESS SENTIMENTS

As always, I included a versatile sentiment set – these are called Crafty Hugs, but the set includes all kinds of everyday greetings like:

• Happy Birthday
• Thinking of You
• Hello
• Dear Friend (pairs beautifully with other sentiments)
• Missing You
• Sending Love & Hugs
• Just a Note

They’re all BetterPress plates with coordinating dies (except “Dear Friend”), and I kept them small and subtle so they complement your designs rather than overpower them.

DAISY TRIO BETTERPRESS PLATE + STENCILS (A2 SIZE)

Let’s talk backgrounds! The Daisy Trio BetterPress plate is an A2 background plate that presses a solid background while leaving the daisy shapes as negative space. It’s a really fun technique – especially when you ink up the plate with colored ink (like I did with yellow and blue) and press onto white cardstock. No need for colored paper!

What makes this extra fun? It comes with a coordinating stencil set, available as a bundle only (the stencils are not sold separately). One stencil even adds a shadow layer to the daisies, which I absolutely love—it brings subtle depth and a touch of drama.

You can use the stencils for bold pops of color or skip them and add your own hand-coloring. So many options!

DAISY SHOWER BETTERPRESS PLATE + STENCILS (5X7 SIZE)

Finally, for those of you who enjoy working in larger formats, there’s the Daisy Shower BetterPress Plate – a stunning 5×7 background filled with blooms! I’ve been experimenting more with 5×7 card sizes lately, and this plate gave me the perfect excuse.

Like the A2 version, this also has a stencil bundle (sold only as a bundle), with four layers to color petals, centers, and stems. While this version doesn’t include a shadow stencil, you can still get creative and customize your flowers to look like Gerbera daisies in bright, playful colors.

Here’s an example where I used the Daisy die repeatedly to fill the background of a 5×7 card—it turned out so lush and full of texture!
