I completely forgot to show you one of my Christmas Cards that I made last month. Its in black and red color combo and looks very stylish and modern, I think.
The stamped panel is one one-layer piece. The background and the ornaments are all stamped on white cardstock. Because of some fun shading it looks very dimensional.
I used a Merry Background stamp from Hero Arts, unfortunately, it has been discontinued, but there are still a few left at Simon Says Stamp store. Be sure to grab one while they are still in stock if you like this design.
I combined my background with Christmas Crystals (here I have another card using this same set). I first stamped a few crystals, masked them with a piece of thin printer paper and than stamped my holiday background in black. Next I used two colors of Hero Arts daubers and roughly colored the open areas. I used a darker color on one side and a lighter on the other to create that illusion of depth.
I also used some We R Memory Keepers white floss and colored it using Hero Arts Silver Shimmer ink to match my project. I used floss to “hang” my ornaments. I also used that same silver shimmer spray ink and also white spray ink to add drops of color to my background.
Finally, I added the Merry Christmas sentiment and scattered a few smooth gems on my background. I adhered my stamped piece onto black Hero Arts layering paper.
great card!
Wow. I seriously thought you had shaped those baubles into 3D. Cool.
Great card as usual.
