Hello, friends and welcome back for another “It’s STAMPtember!” post! This time I am sharing a pencil colored Miss You card using Studio Katia exclusive stamp set called Blooming Trio.
This month, as you might have noticed, I’ve challenged myself to use my Polychromos pencils and watercolors as much as possible. Practice makes perfect and I’m glad I have this opportunity to perfect my coloring skills.

CARD DETAILS
I had a 4 Bar card base covered with Simon’s Smoke cardstock sitting on my desk (I think I planned to use it for something else but never did) so I decided to put it to a good use and stamped the flower cluster in versamark ink directly onto the front of my card. I picked Versamark ink as it’s a watermark ink and it left a nice watermark impression on my paper that wasn’t too dark or too light – just perfect for the no-line coloring I had in mind.
I pulled out my Polychromos pencils and started coloring. I used just 4 pencils to color this – Cobalt Green and Dark Indigo to color the leaves and Rose Carmine and White to color the flowers. I’ll be honest with you – it took me a few days to complete my coloring (I only had 10 minutes here and there) and while it is still far from being perfect I really loved the process and the final result.
I heat embossed “Miss You So Much” sentiment in white embossing powder, added a few white gel pen dots and embellished my card with Nuvo drops in Morning Dew (they dry clear but look blue on my photos as I took pictures almost as soon as I finished making my card and haven’t had the time to let them dry).
Have you tried doing no-line coloring? Do you enjoy it? Will you give it a try if you haven’t yet already?

Gorgeous!! I love the colour of the leaves. I think your practice has definitely made you perfect as you couldn’t get any closer to perfection than this. It really is beautifully coloured!,,
Gorgeous card! Love the colors and your coloring!!
This is just stunning Yana, your pencil work is incredible! I love the look of no line colouring and have tried it once but I don’t have any good coloured pencils so its hard to achieve a decent look. However, I am not beat, I will def. be trying it again and again until I can learn how. (At some point I want to get some Prismacolors, that should help.)
Thanks for sharing your beautiful card and this set is gorgeous!
Very pretty, and your coloring is great
WOW! Amazing coloring! this is just gorgeous!!
Yana this is beautiful, it goes far beyond that word, colouring is not my thing, but I love this work of yours. Maybe I will have a go now. You are one very talented lady. Bless You
The colors are once again stunning … especially the leaves! What a great idea to use Versa mark for no line coloring. Will have to remember that. I have done quite a bit of no line coloring. I love the look and it’s fun. Makes it hard to go back to line coloring!!! As always, thanks, Yana.
Yana this is a gorgeous card. It’s striking colour combo caught my eye when it was posted on Simon’s blog. I love how you did the shading on the flower petals. It’s very effective and with only two colours!!! I will have to pull out my pencils and give it a try.
Yana, this is so beautiful. Again you inspire me to try something new. I love how you mentioned that you had only 10 minutes here and there to work on this. Many times I don’t work on any project because I think I need an hour or 2. I need to work on allowing myself time to craft even if it is just for 10 or 15 minutes.
Beautiful work!
Yana – This card is stunning! I love coloring with pencils but haven’t tried doing no line with them. You’re inspired me to try it! Thanks for sharing your talent, creativity and knowledge! You’re amazing!
