A sentiment can either make or break the card, wouldn’t you agree? For this funny piggy and eggs background I decided to go with “You are the eggs to my bacon” sentiment for a out of the box love card.

CARD DETAILS
I started working on this project by stamping a pattern using piggy image from the Egg-Cellent stamp set. I went with 3 shades of pink and stamped pigs using Cotton Candy, Soft Pink and Rose Madder.
Using a clear block with grid lines and a grid pad under your cardstock help a lot to make sure the images end up being stamped on a straight line. As I was stamping I intentionally left some gaps and later filled those in using an outline image of eggs, I stamped it in black.
After my background stamping was done I trimmed my panel to 4 x 51/4″ and adhered onto an A2 card base. To create a sentiment for this card I stamped “You are the eggs to my bacon” onto a white cardstock panel and foam mounted it onto my card.
If you look at this project at an angle you can spot a bit of stamping I did directly onto the pattern – I first stamped my sentiment there, but because I didn’t quite like the way it turned out I later stamped it onto a separate piece of cardstock.
I also stamped “Made Just For You” in black ink onto white paper, cut it out with my scissors and to add color I pressed the piece directly onto my Rose Madder ink pad. I let the paper soak up the ink and get almost even ink coverage.
