Hello there! With all the STAMPtember festivities I almost forgot to share this card I created for Hero Arts Holiday 2016 Catalog. It was one of those cards made all the way back in June when it was too hot to even think about Christmas.
Like this project? Pin it and save for later!
To help me get into the holiday mood I played some of my favorite Christmas tunes, made a cuppa of hot cocoa and crafted away! The coffee cup was stamped using Hero Arts Pigment Ombre Gold ink. It has such rich and creamy texture, I love it! But you do have to be careful with it, it is pigment, so that means a lot longer drying time.
The holly leaves and branches were heat embossed in brass and also copper embossing powder (simply because I couldn’t make up my mind which color I liked best, ha!). I used Simon’s Woodgrain white cardstock to create an A2 top folding card base and popped my images up using foam adhesive. All of these were fussy cut as I didn’t have coordinating dies at the time, but there are dies available for both of these stamp sets (see links below).
Lastly, I added some gold thread and tiny gold sequins to dress up this card. So there you have it – sending you a cup of cheer!
UPDATE
Hubby and I are getting settled here, thank you all who e-mailed and left comments welcoming us to Arizona and Phoenx! I really appreciate it!
We are renting an apartment and bought some furniture, it was delivered last week and we’ve put it together (I shared a photo of my desk here). We plan to order a few more furniture pieces soon.
We are usually busy during the week and happy to find some free time on the weekend to explore Phoenix and area around it. There’s so much to see here! Oh I forgot to mention we bought a car so its now a lot easier to move around (I do not drive, I never learned as I never had the need to, but hubby drives and since we are always together I’m completely okay not knowing how to drive).
Last week we also got a chance to see my crafty girlfriends, Isha and Beck, I think I’ve already mentioned that. They were in Phoenix for a design team retreat; it was really great to get together and chat and reminisce about old times. They are both from across the oceans, so I really treasure our meetings here in Phoenix.

Omg! This card is so awesome! Made me wanting to hit Starbucks;) although so far the only drink I can get there is freezing frappuccino, as it’s too hot here yet.
I like how you used ombre stamping. And these details of embossed leaves and branches are great addition to this cup.
thank you, Svitlana!
🙂 great card, as always 🙂 and so nice to see your faces 🙂
thank you, Daria! xoxo
So beautiful! That would be a great design on a Starbucks cup. I love the colors together, they’re perfect. What great pictures, looked like you had fun both days. Who can’t use a fun day with crafty friends, even if there’s no crafting involved. It always awesome to be with people who share a hobby you love. Well now I have two reasons to visit Arizona one day, two of my favorite crafters live there, you and Melissa from (lilybeanpaperie). I love to drive, turn the radio loud, sing to myself, drive fast on the highway, moon roof open, wind in my hair, lol. You’ve got to get your license, it’s wonderful. Thanks for sharing and always inspiring.
thank you, Lisaerica! And I completely agree!
Beautiful card. You always do such an awesome job. Welcome to the dessert southwest.
thank you, Ronda!
