Hello, friends! I can’t believe we are in the middle of July! Time seems to fly by with record speed. Today I’m excited to join Hero Arts for their July 2020 My Monthly Hero Release. I have 4 cards to share created with several add-on products. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the kit to create with this month, so I’m only sharing inspiration with the add-on sets.

CARD DETAILS – BEST FISHES
Best Fishes! I so love this sentiment! I white heat embossed an Underwater Pattern bold prints on Arctic cardstock and colored the images in using a B00 marker. Next, I added shimmer using Tonic’s Aqua Shimmer pen. I stamped a simple “Best Fishes” in black ink on white cardstock, stamped seaweed, jellyfish and star and colored all using my Copic markers (exact markers are listed in the supplies below). I cut images out with coordinating dies and foam mounted onto the card. I also embellished my card using Nuvo Drops in Sea Breeze.
CARD DETAILS – LET’S SHELLEBRATE
This one was so fun to make! First, I made a background using my abstract ink background technique. Next, I stamped the Underwater Sea Pattern in clear embossing ink for a tone-on-tone look. Once my background was finished, I stamped the sentiment and several images in black ink. I also stamped and colored seashells and starfish. Instead of using coordinating dies, I cut the images right up to the edge using my scissors, as I didn’t want these to have a white border. I foam mounted images onto the background and embellished my card using Nuvo Drops in Sea Breeze.
CARD DETAILS – NEED A HAND?
Need a hand? This is always a perfect sentiment to go along with an image of an octopus! I stamped, colored, and cut out several images to make a scene. Next, I trimmed Arctic panel to 3 3/4 x 5″, placed it over an A2 white side folding card base and die-cut a circle opening to make a window card. I added a heat embossed panel on the inside of the card, the panel was made using Underwater Pattern bold prints on Arctic cardstock. I stamped “Need A Hand” sentiment, added my octopus and jellyfish and embellished the card with Nuvo Drops in Sea Breeze.
CARD DETAILS – GET TOGETHER SOON
I had stamped, colored and cut out a TON of seashells from the Sea You Soon stamp set. To create a card I stamped a tone-on-tone background using School of Fish background and foam mounted seashells on top. I also stamped a sentiment in the center of my panel and once again, embellished the card using Nuvo Drops in Sea Breeze.

These are INCREDIBLE! I love the bright colors and how you colored the shells!!!
I love these cards! They’re so colorful without being overwhelming, and they show that you can shade in more of a color block style than a perfect blend, which is great for those days where the blending just isn’t happening (or you want some dimension to your color without taking a ton of time). Great use of nuvo drops, too! You’ve reminded me that I want to get some more of the translucent colors.
