Hero Arts | How Does Your Garden Grow? March My Monthly Hero Blog Hop + Giveaway + Video

Hero Arts | My Monthly Hero March 2017 Kit - You're My Pick Bunny Card by Yana Smakula

Hello all and thank you for stopping by today to help celebrate the launch of March My Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts (more about the kit and blog hop below).

I know I say this just about every other month, but March kit have completely and utterly stolen my heart. Both my Mom and my Grandma loved to keep a little garden and I think they have passed a lot of that love to me. I don’t have an actual garden to tend, but I do love plants and I always try to have some sort of greenery in our apartment and on paper!

This video is another one of those quick videos I plan to do more often on my youtube channel just briefly talking about a particular card or product I happen to like. Watch video below or on my Youtube channel:

CARDS DETAILS

Here’s the first card I made – I shared this one last Friday on Hero Arts blog and it mostly uses stamps from the main kit and just the sentiment comes from an add on stamp set. What I love most about the stamps in this kit is the ability to create various scenes.

Hero Arts | My Monthly Hero I Carrot About You Card by Yana Smakula

Like this project? Pin it!

I have one bunny digging holes in the ground and another bunny all ready to plant a carrot. And yes he is planting a full size carrot instead of a carrot seed just because he is silly and adorable like that.

Here’s another card I made using stamps from the kit and also a few add on pieces. I used a woodblock Basket of Apples stamp, colored it using Copics and added another bunny trying to plant full grown apples. I used a “You’re my pick” sentiment and also stamped You’re Some Bunny Special at the bottom of my card and added another smaller bunny to the left.

To create this card I used a frame from the Egg-Cellent stamp set, after stamping it in the center of my white panel I masked it and stamped a mint pattern around it using one of the images from Fresh Herbs set. I also added a beet image from the kit and finished this card by stamping “Every Beet Of My Heart“.

  1. Hi Yana,
Such adorable cards. I love what you did with the mint, so cool! thanks for sharing.

  2. Delightful and colorful cards! I think I love the Every Beet of My Heart card the best – lovely background!

  3. Your “beet” card is fantastic! Love the coloring and “simplicity” of the design. And of course the bunnies are tooooo cute! Wonderful layering!

  4. Great video! Terrific use of the stamp sets and great options that you mentioned for their use. The add ons of even more wonderful!

  5. Love all of these! Appreciate all the cutting and coloring of the little veggies. Time consuming, even with the dies. Thank you:)

  6. Your review is awesome and I loved seeing all the add ons and what can be done with them. I love your fireplace card it is wonderful. I agree it will be great for Christmas. Thanks

  7. Adorable card, Yana! These bunnies are so cute. I love the creative scenes you put together!

  8. I could get some serious mileage out of this kit too. Your card are sweet! adorable!

  9. What sweet cards Yana and the others (in the video) that you are “playing with” are going to be awesome too. I love the fireplace & chair in the add on set.

  10. These are all so adorable and cute. The designs by themselves are really sweet, but you know how to put them together to make them special! 🙂

  11. Oh my gosh…I love it all! You gave me so many fantastic ideas with your wealth of information! Thanks.

  12. I love the produce basket with the removable veggies and the adorable fireplace scene you created. Hope you show that one once it’s finished.

  13. Awesome cards, you’re very talented! Love the bunnies and the vegetables! I think I got my love for gardening from my father.

  14. Very cute cards, Yana. The beet card is so nice and vibrant. I also love your tip of cutting into the chair and having the little critters sit on top…so clever! 🙂

  15. Thanks for showing so many possibilities! While it’s fun to see how the “experts” do a project from start to finish, sometimes it’s really helpful just to see all the product and lots of possibilities! I like the idea of creating “samples” that you can move around to see how to put different elements together. Thanks so much for the jump-start!

Like what you see? Drop me a comment! Thanks!
