Every few month there comes a kit that I simply adore. I loved the Safari kit this Summer (I’m sure you all did too) and now I’m loving this one – I’m a sucker for tiny Christmas houses and villages so this kit quickly became a favorite of mine. If you’ve been following me for more than a year, you might remember this card, Big City, I shared last year – it actually inspired the project I am sharing today.

CARD DETAILS
I started working on my project by creating a scene with my stamps. I picked the images I wanted to use, arranged them on the front of my card and stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black ink. I love the mountain stamp – I stamped it several times creating a horizon line for my village.
I also stamped the houses as well as the tower and the sleight with the gifts onto white cardstock and cut them out with the help of coordinating dies. My choice of images was somewhat dictated by the coordinating dies, I planned my scene so that I was able to cut certain images out for my project and layer them.
I used my Copics to color both the die cuts and the stamped scene on my panel. I didn’t do any fancy coloring, but went with simple 2 or 3 color coloring for my sky, mountains, houses and sleight (I’m listing exact colors of Copic markers I used below in my Supplies section).
Once my coloring was done I foam mounted die cuts onto the main panel and adhered the panel onto an A2 side folding card base. My panel was cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/4″ and so I also added a thin strip of red cardstock off to the left hand side. I used Stickles in Frosted Lace from my stash and added “glitter snow” details onto some of the white areas on my images.

I absolutely love your example! Beautiful! You should definitely be proud that your ability… I am also impressed with the photography… I find taking a good picture of my cards particularly difficult. I tend to avoid it at all costs, since I’m learning how to take better pics, and once I do, I’ll be taking pictures of my cards again… But, this card is gorgeous… I really like how your shading turned out, and the way the tiny town is laid out!!!
