Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by to help celebrate the launch of Hero Arts February 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit (more about the kit, blog hop and giveaway below). This kit is full on Art Deco! One of my favorite styles not only in paper-crafting, but also architecture.
To me, Art Deco style is all about the bling, so in the cards I have for you today I’m using tons of glitter, lots of sparkle and beautiful textures.

CARD DETAILS
My first card, Party Like It’s 1922, uses a stencil from the kit, black cardstock, white texture paste and gold glitter embossing powder to make the background. The focal point in created with the help of the clear stamps from the kit, my mini MISTI tool and gold embossing powder. The card is embellished with black & gold confetti from the kit. My 2nd card, Have a Roaring Good Time, uses the same technique for the background, but white instead of black. I used and add-on stencil this time, Graphic Deco Stencil. My focal panel is heat embossed in gold using clear stamps from the kit, and once again embellished with gold & black confetti.
For this card, Hey There Dollface, I used a new add-on background cling stamp, Deco in the City Bold Prints, and heat embossed in on white in gold glitter embossing powder. This gave me a gorgeous background. For the focal panel I added some additional heat embossing in gold and embellished this card with black & gold confetti from my kit.
