Even though this sentiment, Have A Killer Birthday, is more suitable to go with the shark image included in the set, I paired it up with the whale. I vaguely remember watching something on National Geographic about killer whales, so I suppose these two do go together as well.
This isn’t a typical Birthday card, but more of a clean & simple one for somebody with a great sense of humor.

CARD DETAILS
This card is simplicity itself. I started by stamping two whale images from the Color Layering Whale set onto white cardstock. I used Hero Arts Soft Sky, Indigo and Navy ink colors as well as a black pen for the eye.
After my stamping was done I cut whales out using coordinating die and set them aside. Next, I cut a white cardstock panel to 4 x 5 1/4″ and placed it inside my MISTI. Using black ink I stamped “Have a Killer Birthday“.
While still having the panel inside the MISTI I positioned both whale die cuts over it aligning where I wanted them to be on my card and stamped the sentiment again, this time onto the background panel and the die cut whales.
Lastly, I foam mounted my panel onto an A2 card base and foam mounted whales on top making sure to align the sentiment on both layers.

I don’t have a photo tutorial for this card, but I did snap this photo with my phone as I was making it – you can see whales placed over the sentiment and held down with the magnets.

Oh wow – killer idea! 😀 I just love the raised whale die cuts over the sentiment – I’ve got to try something similar. Thanks so much for sharing this card.
Very cool design
These whales are just the most adorable whales, eating tiny little microscopic shrimps and other mini food. The killer whales are black and white, I think the name in English is as in French the rorqual.
What a fun card. Love the image / sentiment.
Great card Yana! Love the design! I can see your animal data needs a little tweak tho. Heehee! Perhaps you were looking for sharks. They would be perfect on this! These guys sift tiny sea creatures out of the water for food. Mind you, millions upon millions of tiny deaths! You may have a point! =D
Clever idea Yana – fab card 🙂
