Hero Arts | 4 Bar Watercolor Floral Cards

Hello there! I’m back to enjoying simple watercoloring these days and I wanted to share two quick watercolor floral cards I made the other day. These are much smaller compared to my regular A2 cards, I wanted to mention they are smaller so that you can better visualise the size of the flower stamps I used.

CARD DETAILS

I used Hero Arts woodblock floral stamps – Artistic Dahlia and Antique Rose Stem and heat embossed gorgeous flowers in Gold embossing powder onto Arches Hot Press watercolor paper. I went a bit “off the page” to make these slightly more interesting.

I used Daniel Smith watercolors (I am using my Dot sampler chart still, I’ve had it for about a year now although I do plan to get small size tubes and create a custom watercolor palette sometime this Spring) and did some quick coloring. I also added a bit of color to the background to help images pop.

After trimming my watercolor panels I heat embossed Thanks! You Made My Day sentiment in same gold embossing powder and foam mounted onto 4 Bar cards. Lastly, I added several liquid “water” drops using Nuvo drops in Morning Dew.
