Flora & Fauna Stamps | Playing With Tiny Holiday Stamps

Flora & Fauna Stamps | Playing With Tiny Holiday Images

I never get tired of saying this – I love stamping! The freedom to create any kind of design, any kind of pattern, any kind of card. I can do all this (and more!) with stamping. Some stamp designs just have me rushing to my craft corner and instantly stamping something pretty. This is how I feel about the Winter Snowglobe stamp set from Flora & Fauna. It is filled with tiny Christmas images in a fun, quirky style. It’s so very me!

  1. Prep 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Fog Gray panel, tape edges (no more than 1/4″) with low tack tape.
  2. Stamp sentiments from Holiday Word Party 2 Set in black Copic marker-friendly ink.
  3. Fill the rest of the space with images from the Winter Snowglobe set. Stamp them also in black Copic marker-friendly ink.
  4. Use a red pen (or marker) to color select images/image sections. I colored with Jane Davenport Pen in Thriller Jacket.
  5. Use a green YG03 marker to color select images/image sections.
  6. Use a white pen to color the rest. I used Sakura pens in 0.8 and 10 sizes.
  7. Use same white pens to add snow all over the background.
  8. Remove tape and adhere the panel to A2 white card base.

It’s an easy card to make, even easier to color (just 3 colors/pens) and since int’s one-layer, easy to mail. I think I’ll be making a lot more cards like this Holiday season.

  1. Thanks for sharing this on your blog. I don’t follow instagram — or any other social media (are blogs considered social media? I follow blogs!!). Anyway, this card is adorable! I like how you kept the color simple and kept it to red and green. As a card maker I feel rather out of place saying this, but I’m not a big fan of stamping. I stamp to have images to color. BUT, I do love watching what you do with stamps. It gives me some ideas of different things to try when I’m not up to coloring. Thanks, Yana.
