Hello! Today I have something very special to share with all of you and I also have a giveaway to thank you for being my loyal subscribers and viewers. There are 5 giveaways sponsored by Colorado Craft Company.
Colorado Craft Company is a newer stamp company. I have shared a video and several projects with their products back in July 2019 and January 2020 and I had an absolute blast creating with their stamps. What I love most about their designs is their huge size. The images, especially in their Big & Bold line, are very large and easily take center stage on an A2 card and can readily be used on larger projects.
I have 3 cards to share with you all featuring their new Big & Bold stamp line, the new designs for July 2020. These are available exclusively at Simon Says Stamp for the first 2 days after the launch, so July 3rd and July 4th, and after that, on July 5th they will also become available on the Colorado Craft Company’s website.

VIDEO TUTORIAL
Watch the video tutorial below or on Youtube to learn how I made the cards I’m sharing today.
BIG & BOLD SETS BY COLORADO CRAFT COMPANY
Each of the Big & Bold sets features one large size image that easily takes up the entire space of an A2 card and the stamp sets also have a number of coordinating sentiments done in various styles to complement the image.
Because of the size of these images, you have the freedom to really go to town with your favorite coloring mediums and add as many details as you like. You also have a lot of room to dress up your cards with additional mediums and add in more detail with a white pen for example, or glossy accents.
CARDS DETAILS
I started to work on my cards by stamping my images in Copic Marker friendly ink, Simon Says Stamp Intense Black, on white cardstock. I’ve done some prep work and have picked the colors of markers I wanted to use to color my flamingo. I tested various combinations and I also tested various alcohol markers, not just Copics. I ended up deciding to use RV10, RV21, and RV23, those are Copic markers and 453 marker, which is a Nuvo marker by Tonic Studios.
Included in the flamingo set is beautiful tropical greenery. I stamped it in black ink and my idea was to color it, cut it out and layer over my bird. I also stamped a sentiment, it reads Tickled Pink that we are friends. I adhered my panel to the A2 white side folding card base, next I added Pink Blush Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh and covered the image with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen to add some shimmery shine to my flamingo.
The hummingbird card features some masking. I stamped the image of the hummingbird, masked it and stamped flowers cascading from the top down. I ended up having 4 flowers creating a busy floral background for my bird. I used very similar marker colors to do my coloring. I went with RV10, R83, and RV19.
The leaves were colored using Altenew markers and I used G702, G715, and G554. The bird was colored using:
- E13, E37, and E79 for the beak.
- The head was colored using YG00, YG03, and YG17.
- The face was colored with RV10, R83, RV14, RV17.
- the neck was colored with E000, E02
I also used a B000 marker to color the background light blue. I love this trick – using my Copic markers to add color to the background. I stamped a sentiment in black ink on a separate piece of paper, cut it out and foam mounted onto the card. Next, I used a white pen and cleaned up the flower stamens a bit and again used a Nuvo shimmer pen to add shimmer and shine to my bird.
I’ve found the peacock image the hardest to color using my no blending method. I think that is probably because I’ve never colored a peacock before and I just had no idea where to start. To make things easier for myself, and you can use this trick also, I used a pencil and sectioned the image indicating what color each section needed to be. That made the coloring so much easier! In a way, this ended up being like paint by number.

I really love your coloring of these images. Never thought about coloring this way. I’m totally going to try this out! Love the Colorado Stamp Company, too!
Yana, wow you are one of my favorites! You always impress.
My favorite lip color is natural red.
One of my favorite lip colors is Physicians Formula Rose Kiss All Day. Your cards are beautiful.
The large birds are perfect for your no blend coloring method. The cards are fantastic! I would have to say my favorite coloring mediums are colored pencils with gamsol ( Prismacolor) and Altenew Markers. We have hummingbirds who visit our feeder, fun to watch. After living in Florida most of my life I love flamingoes and have lived where peacocks roam free.
I don’t have a favorite lip colour, but I do love how you coloured the peacock!
I so enjoy your videos, however, my credit card does not!!!! My favorite lip Color is coral. Love subscribing to your blog.
Wow, I get excited learning new Technics. The samples of what you do to help you with your design are very much appreciated. Thank you ❤️
Your coloring is amazing.
Yana,I love this post, especially the peacock and the flamingo. I have ordered from Colorado Craft company before after watching your videos. Thanks for great inspiration!
Hi, Yana! What beautiful cards! My latest favorite lip color is peony lip shimmer from Burt’s Bees!
Yana, I am blown away by the results of your colouring method on these beautiful birds, WOW! Thank you for the amazing video you produced which I found very inspiring. Alcohol markers are my favourite colouring medium. My lip colour of choice at the moment is ‘Jilted’ by Urban Decay. Thank you for the chance to win one of these beauties, Yana ❤️
great giveaway!! – my favorite lip color is pink:)
Seeing this video makes me to want to start a collection of these stamps Big and Bold amazing to see your work! think the legs would be another start so different that why I think this company will be a hit for me!! I never have favorite colors especially if I’m coloring a card, reds coral, wine, plums!
Love the new stamps from CCC. And as far as lip color….Neutrogena lip balm – no lipstick for me! It’s like well I k ie I should but I never wear any makeup!
I am so going to try this no blend coloring! [I’ve only done the typical blending to this point] The end result is fantastic – especially with the bigger images. I do love all 3 of these cards! TFS your talent 🙂
I love this coloring technique and your cards are so pretty! As are the stamps. Thanks for having a giveaway. 🙂
My favorite lip color is a smear of Vaseline.
You make it look so easy and your color selection is so beautiful! I am definitely going to try this technique.
Yana, I’ve been a YouTube subscriber for a long time & I just subscribed to your blog. I wear a lip balm by Burt’s Bees call Pomegranate. If I want a lipstick I use Burt’s Bees Peony or Fig, depending what I’m wearing. I’m allergic to actual lipsticks. CCC is new to me & I am hooked. The Lovely Legs collection has a whimsy about them that really appeals to me. As for this release in the Big & Bold section, I think the Peacock is my favourite. I love the Hummingbird, but I don’t think I’d do it justice in colouring. I usually stick to colouring with my coloured Pencils, using something similar to Gamsol. I have some alcohol markers, but they’ve always intimidated me as I don’t blend & shade well. Having said that, seeing your no-blend technique makes me want to pull them out & give them a go. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us. You are terrific!
I just got my first set of alcohol markers a few weeks ago and was struggling to ink blend. My friend shared your video on coloring without blending and I love it! Thanks for the inspiration!
These are just fabulous! I’ve enjoyed your non-blended technique! Thanks for the chance to win! My favorite lip color is natural–I can’t stand how lipstick feels!
This is such a creative way to color! I’d love to try it… I’m still working on alcohol markers. My go to coloring medium is pencils…. I’m comfortable with those, but am trying to branch out.
These are so pretty! Love the way you’ve colored these images! The hummingbird is just beautiful!
Natural is my favorite lip color…. I’ve never been a lipstick wearer.
Watercoloring with Zig markers is my favorite coloring technique, but I’m anxious to try your method!
These are just stunning and so unique. Those Big and Bold stamps are amazing! My favorite lip color — this reminds me that I should wear lipstick and make up more often! I have a few tubes and I don’t even know where they are. BTW the video on these cards was fantastic.
This coloring technique is amazing as are these stamp sets! The hummingbird is beautiful! Favorite lip color Jane Iredale Forever Pink
Beautiful cards and wonderful stamps! I like to color with watercolor. I can see each of these birds colored in watercolor…or alcohol inks…hmmm!!!
I really love all your work. This new style may work well for me, I have RA and my hands are so deformed detail work is hard and takes me days to finish cause it causes so much pain in my wrist. I will surely give this a go. Thank you for all your great tutorials.
Wow, just Wow!!
Lana, you have knocked it out of the park again! I think these stamps were made just for you! All of them are wonderful and I would dearly like to acquire one of them.
Thanks for sharing.
My favourite lip colour is Revlon 300.
Typo–that should read Yana!
Love love love, I’ve always had a hard time blending my colors but this technique seems to make things easier, esp color by numbers! My fav lip color Ruby Woo by Mac. Spices up everything no matter how I’m feeling.
Hi Yana! Gorgeous coloring. I will definitely try it. And that flamingo card melted my heart. Pink is my favorite lip color. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
Beautiful. Love CSC! Thanks for the giveaway! My favorite color is natural…with a burt bees gloss on top.
The cards are beautiful! I love this graphic style of alcohol ink coloring. I think the hummingbird is my favorite. As soon as I can, I will get that stamp set and color the fuchsia as dark eyes fuchsia (my personal favorite).
Yippee for Yana! And 3C… ((( Thank you again for the no blending background poppies. So excited ! ))) Love the sympathy stamp set, sadly I send so many cards to our church. My personal favorite is the hummingbird… Mom always told me after she passed she’d visit as a hummingbird. Need these two sets! Sweet Yana, at my age my lip color has evolved to chapstick. New subscriber to you personally, love your work through the companies I watch. ((Again… thanks for being there for SSS poppies)) Hugs!
Wowza, Yana, not only are these images fantastic on their own, but your new colouring technique (which I am yet to try, by the way!) really makes them pop! I am blown away by your inspiration! Thank you to CCC and you for a chance to win! I don’t wear lipstick, I’m afraid, but I do like some lip gloss, usually in a natural or light pink colour.
Love these cards. And your coloring awesome as always. Don’t really have a favorite lip color…depends on who’s wearing. On some red others a natural pink Thanks for sharing.
All three cards are beautiful. I like the new no blending coloring you are doing. I would love to win one of these stamp sets to try your new technique. Thank you for sharing your work.
Beautiful cards and love the Colorado Craft Company’s Big and Bold series. The no blending coloring concept is gorgeous.
I am already a subscriber to your blog and YouTube channel. Love your work. Favorite lip color changes with my mood and what I’m wearing but tend to wear neutral MK Tenancious Taupe, Mostly now no lip color as my lips are covered with a mask. Stay Safe.
These are beautiful cards. My favorite coloring technique is water coloring but after seeing you doing the no blending copic I’ve been trying it and really enjoy it. I’ve not been very successful at the blending . I’ve of ice that art impressions have stamps that thier samples show the no blending.
My Oh My !! I love what you have done. I think this style of coloring might just be for me. Can’t wait to try it out. That Peacock is Fabulous, but so are the other two. Will have to get that Peacock for sure, if I don’t win in this raffle. Favorite lip color is Mauve.
I love this video!!! I think the peacock is my favorite although my 3 year granddaughter loves Flamingos. Favorite lip color is mauve. Thanks so much for sharing!
I love these huge images- you colored them so beautifully. I enjoy coloring with alcohol markers.
Yana these are gorgeous! Truly so amazing I hardly ever wear lipstick but when I do, I love going for a natural pinky colour
The colors are so bright and captivating, I love the cards, especially that little hummingbird!
Favorite lip color, is a soft pink with gloss!
I cannot wait to try this technique! I’ve watched a few of your latest videos and am so excited as alcohol markers is definitely my favorite coloring medium My favorite lip color includes natural, nude colors of all sorts. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us!
I’m a clear gloss girl!! Love your colorful cards!!!
I saw your gorgeous cards this morning when I got the blog email. Those big stamps are so beautiful on their own, but you certainly elevate them to a whole ‘nother level! I love your new coloring style!
I forgot to say what my way to color is – I like using colored pencils the best. I seem to find the most control that way – it’s rather stress free. However, I mostly use my Copics. I noticed many people are saying what their favorite lip color is – maybe I misunderstood the question. I use a product by IT Cosmetics called je ne sei quia- it just barely gives you a hint of natural color – I’ve never been bold enough to wear bright lipstick.
Just watched these three videos. For sure a technique I want to try. You make it look so easy . My favorite lip color is a pinkish orange for me and a Copic R20 for coloring.
ROSEWOOD by Mary Kay is my favorite. It is perfect!
I am partial to a dark red lipstick. Your cards are beautiful. Very striking.
Love these stamp and of course your brilliant coloring.
