Hello everyone and welcome back for another Clean & Simple Die Cutting episode. It’s been awhile! Today I’m sharing a Get Well card created using a beautiful Majestic Oval die from Spellbinders. I seem to be enjoying working with ovals more than I do with other shapes for cards like this. Most of my cards are rectangular in shape, rarely square so ovals work extremely well.
Aside from the oval I also used one of my favorite flower dies from Spellbinders – Peony. I love to make this one in pink, it does take a little time (especially if you want to have a fuller flower), but result is just gorgeous. The die cut oval frame is a little bit dimensional. I’ve die cut it several times out of white cardstock and adhered the layers together to make the frame a little bit thicker. I also used foam adhesive to adhere the frame onto my card base.
As for the sentiment I used a Get Well one from Avery Elle’s Get Well stamp set and heat embossed it in clear embossing powder over black pigment ink on vellum. I used my scissors are carefully cut around it for a faux-die cut look.
Finally I added a few enamel dots in various shades of pink and that finished my card!
