With the start of the new year I’d like to introduce a new series on the blog called “Clean & Simple Die Cutting“. In this bi-weekly series I plan to share different CAS cards with a bit of die-cutting or embossing along with a simple step by step instructions.
This is first post from the new bi-weekly “Clean & Simple Die Cutting” series. You can view all posts from this series by clicking here.
Here’s my first card:
This is a window card, the window is cut using Labels Twenty-Nine S5-156 die from Spellbinders Paper Arts on a Grand Calibur machine:
Using a slightly bigger die from the same Labels Twenty-Nine S5-156 set I cut a label out of dictionary paper from the Rose Garden paper pad from First Edition, placed foam squares on the perimeter and adhered it from inside of the card base:
The card front ended up looking like this:
To finish the card I added a die cut heart (Spellbinders Say What? S4-398 set), sentiment strip from Making Memories, pink twine from Dovecraft and a few gems and pearls also from Dovecraft. I also rounded all four corners using the smallest corner rounder from We R Memory Keepers:
Beautiful and simple. Love it 🙂
