Citrus Card with My Favorite Things. Video

CARD DETAILS

I started to work on my card by making a background. I used a technique I teach in the latest class – Spring Card Camp 2 from Online Card Classes. and made a pretty blue background.

Next, I stamped images from the Main Squeeze stamp set, colored them with my Copic markers, and cut out using coordinating dies. I played around with several Yellow Copic marker combinations to color my lemons as I wasn’t sure which color combo would work best.

Copic markers used:

• Y35, Y15, Y13, Y11, Y08, Y06, Y00.
• YG13, YG01, YG00

I heat embossed a sentiment that reads “to my main squeeze” in white embossing powder and arranged images around it using foam adhesive and glue.

Lastly, I used Nuvo drops in White to add a number of white dots onto my background and dress up this card. I love the way this project turned out and especially that color combo. This was inspired by the look of lemons growing on a lemon tree against a vibrant blue sky. We don’t have any lemon trees where I live, it is too cold for them here, but anytime I travel to a warmer climate I can’t get enough of them!
