Hello everyone! Today I am participating in a Caring Hearts Card Drive Blog Hop (more about this great cause and hop below). I created several simple to mass produce and easy to replicate Holiday cards. I have also filmed a video tutorial to walk you through the creative process and explain everything in detail.

VIDEO TUTORIAL
I’ve created a video tutorial where I am sharing everything in detail. You can watch it below or on my Youtube channel.

CARDS DETAILS
I wanted to stamp a modern looking pattern featuring several Christmas trees. I started going through my stash looking for images I could use and I ended up picking trees from 3 different stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp.
I practiced my stamping on a piece of printer paper (when I do test stamping I always use cheap printer paper and never my good quality cardstock). Once I was happy with my idea, design and colors of ink I picked I moved onto stamping actual pattern onto card fronts.
I wanted to make multiple cards so I used my mini MISTI stamp positioner to make it easier to do my stamping. I also double stamped all images to have the most vibrant and smooth ink coverage. I used 2 Christmas Trees from the Gifts of Love stamp set (its a set from one of Simon’s Card Kits), one tree from a last year Christmas Graphic set and one last tree image from this year Color Me Trees stamp set (I’m linking to all supplies I used at the end of my post).
For my color combination I went with Green Apple, Willow and Evergreen. I also used my Simon’s Intense Black ink to stamp the outline trees and blended Fog as well as Lake Shores and Scuba.
To dress these trees up a bit I heat embossed several dashed swirls from the Cute Snowflakes stamp set (this is another card kit stamp set) in Antique Gold embossing powder.
The sentiment for these cards, Thinking of you at Christmas, came from yet another set, Christmas Essentials. I wanted these cards to say more than just Merry Christmas and I think the sentiment I picked it very suitable for this occasion.
My stamped panels were adhered onto A2 top folding white card bases, I also foam mounted my sentiments and adhered several clear droplets.
CARING HEARTS CARD DRIVE
Today we are celebrating the 7th annual Caring Hearts Card Drive with a fun blog hop! The purpose of this card drive is to collect handmade holiday cards for the elderly that live in nursing homes around the world. Since 2010 we have been bringing joy to many nursing homes throughout the US, Canada and Australia. And this year, we are branching out to the UK! What better way to share our love of card making than to bring joy to others, right?
We hope you’ll join us in supporting the card drive. Details for the card drive can be found at: Vera Yates Blog & Jennifer McGuire’s Blog.
