Hi everyone! I love to stretch my stamps and use them all year round (be it Christmas stamps – I try using them for non-Holiday cards, or non-Holiday stamps – I love using them for Christmas cards).
Today I’m using Stacked Animals stamp set and dressing up my giraffe using a few winter accessories to create a fun Holiday card.

CARD DETAILS
I got the idea for this card when I imagined giraffe wearing letter O (from the word “Joy”) around his neck. That seemed like a fun and doable idea, so I grabbed my stackable animals stamp set and Copic markers and started stamping/coloring.
Images from the Stackable Animals stamp set have a very fine outline; with an outline like that I always have my alcohol markers bleeding and messing up my coloring. To prevent or minimize this I decided to do my coloring on watercolor paper. This kind of paper absorbs a lot more luquid and I have significantly less trouble with my markers going outside the lines. If you have a similar problem with your coloring – try using watercolor paper.
Once my coloring was done I used coordinating dies and cut my images out, I also die cut a beautiful JOY out of white cardstock.
To add something to the background, I heat embossed Falling Snow background in White Puff embossing powder (check out this video where I used it as frosting on a donut) onto Surf Blue cardstock. I also added a few winter accessories from the Christmas Cats stamp set and Ready Set Snow.Â
